Tonight:Any thicker cloud and scattered showers will clear south this evening, mainly dry overnight with clearing skies. A widespread frost developing with patchy mist and fog. Minimum temperature -4 °C. Saturday:Dry and bright with good sunny spells. A frost early and later in the day as winds stay mostly light. A few mist and fog patches could linger all day. Maximum temperature 4 °C. Updated: 0330 on Fri 5 Dec 2008 Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:Thicker cloud and outbreaks of rain gradually pushing southeast on Sunday, the southwesterly winds becoming fresh to strong. Bright with scattered or isolated wintry showers on Monday and Tuesday. Updated: 0330 on Fri 5 Dec 2008 UK Outlook for Wednesday 10 Dec 2008 to Friday 19 Dec 2008:Much of the UK should be fine, dry and sunny although rather cold on Wednesday, but cloud and outbreaks of light rain will affect the northwest. Those damp conditions are expected to spread southeastwards across the rest of the country during Wednesday night and Thursday with temperatures rising to around normal. Towards the end of next week, a generally westerly flow is expected to bring showers and spells of rain across all parts, with the driest and clearest conditions most likely in the south and east. Some heavy rain is likely over exposed western areas. During the following week, current indications are for the westerly flow to continue bringing spells of rain eastwards, with the best of any dry, sunny spells over southern and eastern England, but temperatures around normal.
