14 August 2006 The 2005/6 Annual Report and Accounts from the Met Office was officially published today. The Annual Report looks back on the work of the Met Office over the past 12 months - which included issuing our first public winter forecast and the critical role we played in several high-profile weather and environmental events this year, including the fire at the Buncefield Oil Storage Depot near Hemel Hempstead. The report also looks forward to 2006/7, during which we aim
to grow our commercial business and continue to improve services
for the public.
